The Ecosystem Value Alliance Foundation was established to promote environmental and climate protection for the common good and to support the education of the population in this area.
By developing scientifically sound, digital and scalable standards, the eva foundation makes it possible to remunerate ecosystem services. By applying these standards, tradable certificates are generated, the sale of which finances the conservation and restoration of ecosystems.
Behind the Bonn-based foundation are motivated employees with expertise in the fields of forestry and agricultural science, standardization, certification, policy, strategy and communication.
To finance these services, EVA Service GmbH charges a fee amounting to 15% of all certificates issued. Monetization will take place as part of the sale of the certificates via the forest owner, project developer or through marketing by a trustee. Surpluses flow into the foundation and are used in line with the foundation's purpose.
So far, eva has financed the start-up phase by pre-selling certificates to various buyers.
